beardy rabbit raised $1265.00 for Back on My Feet and covered 84 Miles in 12:34. Thank you friends, families, funders and fellow BR runners. Saturday’s run was an all around wonderful experience. Thank you.
Pretzel City posted the relay and lap times http://www.pretzelcitysports.com/roadracesresults.html
Dear Friends and Family,
I will be taking part in an 84 mile relay race on July 16th.
Since its a relay, my part is two 8.4 mile loops. So, I am only running about 16.8 miles. And it could take our team 10-15 hours to complete, although we are a lotted 24 hours. The race is called the 20in24 relay.
I am doing this run to raise money for an organization that helps homeless individuals get back on their feet, literally. By inspiring them to run, to motivate, to realize that there is strength in stability and that stability and commitment can come from believing in yourself, lacing up a pair of sneakers, getting away from it all for an hour or two and simply run, just run. Yes, running helps. Running calms a stressed out mind, awakens an unhealthy body and empowers one to take stake in their lives. People run, not only for these reasons but also because they want to change something about themselves and their lives.
Please take a moment to read more about Back on My Feet and make a small contribution, no matter how small, to our team by clicking here and if feeling motivated, ask your friends to support us by making a donation or by coming out to cheer on race day.
Thanks,
Johnny Buckley

This week the Beardy Rabbit Beer Run was to the Prohibition Tap Room.
There, 3.2 miles, (6.4 for those eager to run back.) was washed down by a few wonderful brews. Boulder Brewing’s Hoopla was an all around favorite.
Thanks to everyone who came out to run and sip at the initial run. Especially to the chauffeur who lifted and sipped.

The distance from the brewery to the tap room is about 5 miles. Although I am not sure the route the FBR’s are planning to take.
$25 - About a 5 mile run, Free Fried Chicken, Cole Slaw, 3 Free Beers and a T-Shirt.
Frankford Hall…www.frankfordhall.com a cute, massive outdoor bier garden on Frankford Ave, created by Stephen Starr. Situated catercorner from Johnny Brendas. Picture, a wide open, ceiling-less space cut clean through warehouse, gravel underfoot and over a dozen, brand spanking new, lacquered benches and two ping pong tables.
Sit anywhere you choose and with whomever. Beer is served in mighty 1L glasses! And they can be found in the far wall to your left. Tasty german inspired (aka “traditional”) snacks, like spaetzle, brats and franks (die vorsicht: they do not serve their brats on a roll, however they will sell you a measly hot dog bun for a dollar), and fries. Those can be found over to your right. You are given a number stand so that your food can find you when its ready.
Pretzel girls! Yes! Pretzels the size of your head are brought to your table and sold by Pretzel Girls. That’s about the only table service, aside from delivery and clearing that you’ll have. Which makes for prompt picnicking. No fuss, no muss. Choose from a selection of mustard from the fixings station in the center of the garden to complement your doughy delight.
Frankford hall does have an inside but until the bitter cold comes creeping back….go to the garden.
